Size Guide
Vintage clothing doesn’t follow modern sizing — and that’s part of its story.
Over the decades, sizing standards have changed dramatically. A size on a vintage label may not match today’s sizing, so I always recommend choosing based on my AUS size and measurements, not the tag.
I list all items in modern AUS sizing.
The owner Freya is the model in all vintage pieces.
Freya is a standard size AUS 6-8. Pieces will always look different on different body types. Freya is a AUS 6 waist, AUS 8DD bust, AUS 8 hips. Freya is 164cm tall.
How I size vintage pieces
Every item is carefully measured by hand and listed with either:
Bust / Waist / Hips / Length
These measurements are taken with the garment laid flat and doubled where needed.
How to find your best fit
The easiest way to ensure the right fit is to compare our measurements with a garment you already love.
-
Lay a similar item flat
-
Measure it the same way
-
Compare those numbers to the listing
If the measurements are close, it should feel just right.
Fit notes
Many vintage pieces have no stretch
Fabrics and cuts can feel different to modern garments
Some styles were designed to be worn more fitted or more relaxed
We always note fit details in each product description where possible.
